Woking Borough Council Tax charge has been set to rise by 2.23% for 2017/18. Equivalent to less than 10 pence per week for a Band D property, the rise means that people living in a Band D property will pay £226.71 for Borough Council services such as refuse collections, environmental maintenance, planning services and leisure facilities.

The Borough’s Council Tax charge will be added to Surrey County Council’s Band D charge of £1,331.55 which includes a 3% increase for Adult Social Care and Surrey Police and Crime Commissioners Band D change of £224.57.

The total Council Tax charge for a Band D property will therefore be £1,782.83 for 2017/18.

The Council will shortly send all households their Council Tax bills for 2017/18. If you have difficulties paying your Council Tax, contact Woking Borough Council for advice by calling 01483 755855 or emailing ctax@woking.gov.uk
