On Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July 2015, the Friends of Woking Palace are opening Woking Palace to visitors between 11am and 5pm as part of the Council for British Archaeology’s Festival of Archaeology Fortnight.

In the last six years excavations at Woking Palace have uncovered evidence of buildings, feasting and rubbish pits which help to illustrate the rich history of the site that dates back to the time of Magna Carta. During the weekend finds and fascinating displays about the excavations will be available providing a glimpse of the site when it was a great medieval manor house and Tudor palace.

By popular request, the main attraction on both days will be Tudor Falconry talks and flying displays. On both days there will be a free guided walk to Woking Palace via the historic areas of Old Woking, starting from St Peter’s Church at 2pm. Please call 07722 299026 or email info@woking-palace.org to book a place on these walks.
