Parking charges at rural parks in Surrey? What’s your view?

Surrey County Council wants your views on proposals to charge for rural car parking. – time’s running out so if you have a view, let them know before November 6

This consultation is a vital part of the Council’s plans to preserve and improve Surrey’s beautiful countryside for years to come.

With the council needing to save more than £100 million from its annual budget the aim is to make the management of Surrey’s countryside self-financing.

Charging at the car parks could form part of that with those benefiting most contributing more so everyone can still enjoy the wonderful Surrey countryside. The money raised would be ring-fenced to maintain and improve the countryside.
