SATURDAY, 26 SEPTEMBER 2020 FROM 14:00-16:00
The autumn litter pick will be on Saturday, 26th September, coinciding with Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British September Clean.
If you intend to come along, please would you email me with your name and contact details and state who will be in your party. We need to keep a register for H&S and Covid purposes and it will save time to know in advance who is there. It also means we can get in touch with you if the situation changes and we have to cancel the litter pick.
We will meet at 2.00pm at the side of Goldwater Lodge, near the climbing wall. Remember, you must all wear strong shoes and have gardening or work gloves – even children. Please keep a good social distance from other “pickers” as you arrive and wear face coverings until after the briefing and we all split up. As usual, litter pick sticks, bin sacks and hi-viz tabards will be provided. There will be antibacterial/virus wipes and hand gel available. When you go off in your small groups, please remember the social distancing “rule of 6”.
At the end, around 4.00pm, please report in before leaving, return the litter pick sticks and put your hi-viz tabards in the receptacle for washing.
If you do not wish to join the group litter pick but still want to do your bit, we can lend you a litter pick stick and tabard and give you bin bags, but you will have to take your “pickings” home and put them in your refuse bin.
